There are roughly 31 million entrepreneurs in the United States. That is close to 16% of the entire population of the country.

There are many reasons why people choose the path of entrepreneurship. They see better opportunities than their current career. They want more freedom in their day.

There’s another side to entrepreneurship that many don’t discuss. It’s a stressful path that often leads to failure and burnout.

Financial stresses rank among the top reasons why these small businesses close. Many decide to walk down this path without personal finance management.

You can’t afford to make a similar mistake. It will cost you too much time, energy, and resources. It will impact your mental health, too.

Read on to learn how to create a financial management strategy for your personal and business expenses.

1. Separate Business and Personal Finances

The vast majority of entrepreneurs are sole-proprietors. This is a great way to start your business because it’s easy and inexpensive.

It also ensures that your business and personal taxes are handled on one tax return. You might be tempted to start off by self-funding your business. You’ll mix your personal expenses with your business expenses.

That’s a sure way to make your personal finances a mess. Separate your business and personal expenses from the very beginning. It’s much easier to track your business expenses for tax deduction purposes.

2. Have a Rainy Day Fund

No one could have predicted the financial impact of COVID-19 on small businesses. What it did reveal is how so many businesses are just getting by financially.

One survey showed that about half of all small businesses had enough cash on hand to survive 15 days without revenue.

The situation for personal finances isn’t much different as most Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck.

You don’t know when the next pandemic or disaster will strike. That makes financial planning a priority. You should have enough money set aside to cover 3-6 months of personal and businesses expenses.

You don’t need to have all of it set aside right away. Build up your rainy day fund slowly by putting aside a small percentage of your revenue into this fund.

3. Always Pay Yourself First

Personal finance management experts always tell entrepreneurs to pay themselves first. It seems easy on the surface, but it is hard to put into practice.

What you need to do is set up a few different accounts for your business and personal finances. The first thing you do when you get paid is to set aside a certain percentage for taxes. Work with an accountant to determine your percentage.

The funds left over should pay your salary and business operating expenses. You can then take the personal funds to pay your personal expenses and set aside funds for retirement and savings.

4. Use Financial Management Software

Financial management doesn’t have to happen with a shoebox of receipts and a spreadsheet. There are software suites that are inexpensive and easy to use.

Wave Accounting, Zoho, and QuickBooks are a few examples of software to manage your accounts. You can easily categorize your expenses, which makes tax time a lot easier to manage.

5. Focus on Revenue-Generating Expenses

What is the ROI on this expense? This is how you need to measure your business’s expenses early on. Let’s face it, everyone is selling a course or software designed to help you make money.

Entrepreneurs fall into the trap of spending money on things they don’t really need. They are terrified of spending too much money on the things that really matter, and try to do it themselves.

Take marketing as an example. It’s a necessary investment, but entrepreneurs decide to do the marketing themselves. They don’t know anything about marketing strategy or content creation.

They think that a few social media posts will solve all of their problems. They could hire the best marketing agency to do the work, save time, and get leads.

That’s because marketing generates revenue for the business. You need to approach your business expenses that way.

6. Take Advantage of Retirement Plans

There are tax incentives for entrepreneurs that also help you plan for retirement. You can invest in a Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) IRA. This lets you invest up to $58,000 or 25% of your income and deduct your contributions on your tax return.

You can also invest in a 401(k) plan. You can contribute as much as $19,500, or $26,000 if you’re older than 50. You should seek the advice of a financial planner to help you set these funds up.

7. Diversify Investments

Personal financial management isn’t easy for entrepreneurs. You might get to a place where you can make investments and begin to build wealth.

If you do get to that point, you need to have an investment strategy. It’s wise to diversify your investments. For example, if all of your investments are in stocks, and the market crashes, you don’t have other vehicles to lean on.

Diversification protects your wealth in the event of a market crash. You might invest a little in real estate, a little in stocks, and a little in another financial vehicle.

The Best Personal Finance Management Tips

It’s entirely possible that entrepreneurs are overly optimistic. Many feel that their business is just going to work out for the best. They don’t anticipate any financially challenging times.

These personal financial management tips help you get ready for those financial challenges. You won’t stress about money because you are prepared for anything.

Personal finance management happens with careful planning and intention. Make the commitment to improve your personal finances and you’ll have a better business.

Are you looking for a new medical answering service?

A medical office answering service isn’t just an answering machine. It represents you to your patients. That’s why it’s important to find an answering service that’s knowledgeable, professional, and kind.

We know that choosing the right medical answering service can be difficult. There are many factors to consider, and it’s important to find one that meets your needs. That’s why we created this guide with tips on how to choose the right medical answering service for you.

Look for a Medical Answering Service That Has Your Medical Specialty

How important is it for your medical answering service to specialize in the area of medicine that you practice?

Medical specialties can vary widely. Some require a great deal more attention than others, and as such, may have different needs from an answering service.

Medical practices that need more direct interactions with patients will need more help. For instance, an answering service for a clinic that provides semi-intensive inpatient services will need to be available for longer. They may even need to be available 24/7.

On the other hand, a medical center that offers outpatient services will need less help.

When considering which medical answering service is right for you, look for one specializing in the type of medicine you practice. If possible, first review your needs with the company and confirm that they will assist you.

Review Medical Answering Service Pricing Plans

You must understand the pricing plans in full detail before committing yourself.

Many services offer flexible rates based on factors like call volume and features. Depending on your individual situation, certain plans may end up being cheaper than others. Figure out what type of plan works best for you, and choose the one with the most benefits for the lowest cost possible.

Find Medical Answering Service Reviews Online

If you’re unsure whether a Medicaid answering service is right for you, then find out what other professionals and patients have to say about it.

Online reviews are a great way to see what others think about the medical answering services that exist today. They offer real opinions from real people, helping you decide which one might be right for your practice.

When reading online reviews, pay close attention to user feedback. Study what individual users have to say about their experiences with each service.

Read many reviews, and take note of how they rate the company. Consider several different categories, such as helpfulness, professionalism, and more.

Look at Their Website Content to Understand the Full Scope of Services Offered

When considering which medical office answering service is right for you, one way to learn more about them is by looking at the content on their website.

Many websites offer free quotes, services descriptions, and even information on how they operate as a company in general. As you read over this information, pay close attention to what they say about their services. Also, consider how they claim your needs will be met.

Look for specific details about each plan offered. It will allow you can compare your requirements with what is being offered. Also, be sure to read about common issues and how the company handles them.

Expect Representatives To Be Professional at All Times

Your expectations must be fully understood by everyone involved.

Contacting your potential new service provider is a great way to get answers to any questions you may have about their services and plans. It will also give you a chance to learn more about what they expect as well. You’ll know when and how they should be contacted and other details about etiquette.

If you feel like something isn’t quite right during an interaction with a representative, don’t be afraid to ask for a new representative. Medical answering services are there to help you. You should never feel uncomfortable about saying something isn’t quite right.

Choose a Local Medical Answering Service

Considering the location of staff members when choosing a doctor’s answering service.

If possible, choose an answering service that offers local support. Having a local team who can visit your practice helps ensure that transfers and pickups are handled properly.

Additionally, it allows businesses to work with someone they know in real life. And it’s better than having to rely on a stranger only over the phone. It also encourages more personalized interaction between parties due to increased familiarity.

Evaluate Features Based on Your Medical Practice

Several features may be better suited for your practice than others.

For example, if you work with patients under the age of 18, choose an answering service specializing in pediatric health care. If you work with a lot of patients whose first (or only) language is a language other than English, make sure your medical answering service can accommodate them.

Avoid Medical Answering Services Who Use Hard Sell Techniques to Market Their Services

As mentioned previously, choosing the best medical answering service for your practice may take some research and legwork on your part. Medical professionals should know better than most how to spot a sales pitch when they see one.

For example, you shouldn’t be forced into making any immediate decisions about services or plans. You need time to review the information available in detail. Ensure that you’ll have plenty of time to consider all options from different medical answering services before making a choice.

Answering services that pressure clients into deals are likely using hard-sell techniques. And most likely, they won’t provide what is best for their clients.

Choose Your Medical Answering Service

Choosing the right medical answering service for your practice is essential to ensure you meet and exceed patient satisfaction requirements. Medical answering services chosen with care and reviewed over time will help ensure your patients and clients receive the high-quality care they deserve.

Launching a new business can be exhilarating — and terrifying!

There are so many factors that need to be accounted for, infrastructure that needs to be set up, employees that need to be hired, the list is well-known. And not the least of the hurdles that you need to clear is coming up with a marketing strategy. To make sure you start your small business off on the right foot, check out these key marketing tips.

1. Build a Brand

In the modern, digital-driven marketing landscape, building a brand is not optional. Surveys show that 71% of consumers prefer to do business with brands they recognize, so not using branding effectively is leaving a huge chunk of your potential market share to your competition.

Further, surveys show that consumers prefer to patronize brands that they perceive as aligning with their values or identities. So to brand your business, you need to distill down who you as a business are and what you stand for. Once you’ve done that, you can start to zero in on who your target base is and market to them efficiently.

2. Focus on the Customer, Not the Product

Once you’ve identified who your target customer is, the next step is to communicate with them. That sounds obvious, and yet many businesses go about doing it completely backward.

You may notice that a lot of business marketing puts the product front-and-center. That’s well and good for raising awareness of the product but doesn’t create a compelling reason for the consumer to buy it.

What you should do instead is seek to engage with the consumer on a human level. This should be easy if you’ve already done the work of building a brand, as you’ll be well-equipped to engage with them. This builds a perceived relationship between them and your brand and foments a level of trust that will encourage brand loyalty.

3. Get Schooled in the Art of PR

Most entrepreneurs focus on developing skills relevant to their business: management, mastering their craft or trade, driving innovations, and the like. They’re not typically public relations experts on top of that. This is why more than a few budding businesses have been torpedoed by seemingly harmless gaffs.

It’s a fate that you’ll want to avoid at all costs, which is why seeking out a public relations expert before a crisis occurs is essential. Not only will it help keep you on the right side of public opinion, but it will give you tools to help grow positive relationships with your customer base at all times.

There are plenty of pr experts and classes that you can learn from, but you should look here to get some of the best education that you’ll find anywhere.

Take Marketing Tips From the Pros

One of the easiest mistakes to make is being afraid to seek guidance. Whether out of overconfidence or hesitance to ask for help, many budding entrepreneurs have sabotaged themselves by not making use of the resources at their disposal.

Seeking out expert public relations guidance is just one thing to consider. For all the top marketing tips that you need to set your business apart from the competition, be sure to keep up with all of our latest business news and views.

In 2022, more than 347.3 billion emails will be sent and received every day. The number of email users will also grow significantly in the near future. Experts estimate that by 2023, there will be about 4.3 billion email users globally.

These statistics indicate the importance of having a robust email marketing strategy for those who own businesses. The fact is consumers are using email, and any company that isn’t doing so as well is losing out on a lucrative marketing opportunity.

Thankfully, there’s a bevy of ‌popular‌ ‌email‌ ‌providers‌ ‌who make it easy for businesses to reach existing and potential clients any time they wish to. In today’s post, we outline the seven ‌most‌ ‌popular‌ ‌email‌ ‌providers‌ ‌worldwide so you can make an informed choice when choosing an email provider.

What Makes a Good Email Provider?

Choosing the right email provider is critical to your business. The wrong provider can make an otherwise meticulously designed email marketing campaign fail miserably. Here are three top things that make a great email provider in 2021.

Efficient Management of Mailing Lists

Any email provider worth its sort must have efficient mailing list management as one of its staple features. You don’t want to waste time and resources sending mail to people who don’t exist or can’t receive your email for some reason. Your email provider must make it easy to detect email bounces and delete those contacts, keeping your mailing list free of clutter.

Precise Segmentation of Mailing Lists

Segmentation of mailing lists entails identifying different customer groups in your contact list and targeting each group with precise promotional content. By doing so, it’s easier to achieve your marketing goals. A good email provider makes mailing list segmentation an easy task.

Seamless Integration of Third-Party Software

The true power of an email provider is its ability to easily integrate with other business software. This is particularly the case for e-commerce platforms.

A top email service provider should provide you with the means of combining the email’s features with those of external software. This is made possible by means of corresponding extensions and APIs.

What Are the Most Popular‌ ‌Email‌ ‌Providers‌ ‌Currently?

Certainly, there are many other features that make an email provider, besides the ones we’ve outlined above. We’ll touch on some of them as we discuss the most‌ ‌popular‌ ‌email‌ ‌providers in this section. Let’s dive right into it.

1. Gmail

Gmail sits at the top of the ‌list‌ ‌of‌ ‌popular‌ ‌email‌ ‌providers and has consistently done so for years. It’s a free service from Google that offers countless features for users. One of the top-selling aspects of Gmail is its extremely simple user interface.

Other desirable features that you get to enjoy when you use Gmail include:

Ample Storage

When you sign up for Gmail, you immediately get 15GB of free storage. This storage can be used for Google Plus photos and Google Drive, besides your email and other things.

Rock-Solid Security

Security is critical, particularly at a time when cybersecurity is on the rise. With Gmail, you have access to security features that include HTTPS, an anti-spam shield, and malware and phishing protection. Gmail also offers a two-step authentication security feature.

Productivity Features

Users of Gmail can utilize numerous productivity features. Given that Gmail and Google Drive are integrated, users can send large-sized email attachments.

Gmail automatically organizes emails into four main tabs: Primary, Social, Promotions, and Updates. This saves you time when looking for an email.

Mobile Apps

Both iOS and Android users can access Gmail on mobile. This makes it easy to access your email on the go using your smartphone.

2. Outlook.com

Since its release, Outlook has been one of the most‌ ‌popular‌ ‌free‌ ‌email‌ ‌providers‌ ‌globally. The service is from tech giant Microsoft and was previously known as Hotmail.

What makes Outlook email marketing so popular is its many impressive features. You can learn more ‌about outlook email marketing online.

So, why do users love Outlook? For starters, the email service has one of the cleanest user interfaces you’ll find in the market. Users also enjoy better privacy features than Most of Outlook’s closest competitors offer.

Outlook also comes with full MS Office integration. That means users can create and view office files easily and directly in their email dashboard. Besides, Outlook offers practically unlimited email storage.

When it comes to security, users can expect industry-standard virus scanning and spam filtering. Outlook also has mobile apps that work on Windows, iOs, and Android.

3. Yahoo Mail

Yahoo Mail makes it to our top three popular‌ ‌free‌ ‌email‌ ‌providers, thanks to its decades of providing consistently impressive features. This email service from Yahoo awards its users an incredible ITB of free storage when they sign up.

Yahoo messenger is fully integrated into the email service. Yahoo mail supports both IMAP and POP. Other desirable features include a built-in search tool, calendar, and Notepad.

And you don’t need to worry about security when it comes to Yahoo mail. The email service features best-in-class antispam features.

4. AOL Mail

AOL is short for America Online. It’s a popular free email service that offers users unlimited storage. You also get virus and spam protection, as well as an SSL-based process.

AOL Mail also supports SMTP, IMAP, and POP. There’s also a spell checker. All in all, AOL mail is one of the best email services when it comes to personalization.

5. ProtonMail

If security is the most important factor for you, then ProtonMail should be your first choice. This email service is the most secure on this list.

ProtonMail uses end-to-end encryption for its service. The email service uses superior encryption technologies, including RSA and AES. All of the servers are located in Geneva, Switzerland.

Users get 500MB of email storage for the free account.

Choose the Best Email Service for You

With so many ‌popular‌ ‌email‌ ‌providers‌ ‌around, deciding on the ideal one for your email marketing strategy seems easier said than done. The key to taking the guesswork out of the game lies in evaluating the features that an email service offers and opting for the one that suits your needs the most.

You’ve been practicing law for a few years now. You’ve decided to strike out on your own. The only problem is that you don’t know how to get clients as a lawyer.

Fortunately, we do, and we can help you. So, without further ado, here are some key tips for getting clients as an attorney.

1. Select a Niche

There are all types of lawyers out there, from divorce lawyers to custody lawyers to estate lawyers to defense lawyers and more. If you’re going to be striking out on your own, you’re going to need to figure out what type of lawyer you are. In other words, you’re going to need to select a niche.

By selecting a niche, you paint yourself as an expert in that specific type of law. By acting as a generalist, in contrast, you paint yourself as a jack of all trades, but a master of none. Clients will almost always opt for experts over generalists, as experts are bound to have knowledge and experience that generalists are not.

Once you’ve chosen your niche, plaster it everywhere. Don’t just refer to yourself as “Ryan Bertram – Attorney”; refer to yourself as “Ryan Bertram – Estate Attorney”.

2. Create a Website

First and foremost, you need to create a website. In this day and age, there’s no better marketing tool than an online presence.

Your website should not only contain pertinent information about you, your practice, and your history, but it should also contain a regularly curated blog. This blog should be used to demonstrate your expertise, as it will help to establish you as an authority in your area of law.

Other things to post on your website include photographs of yourself as well as your contact information. You might also consider posting an FAQ page and individual services pages.

3. Get on Social Media

In today’s digital era, if you’re not on social media, you’re going to fall very behind. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other platforms are more popular than ever and have the potential to bring you substantial amounts of business. You just have to use them to your advantage.

Create business pages for your services and then interact on those pages as a means of drawing in attention. The more you post, and the more friends and followers you’ll get. The more friends and followers you have, the greater chance you have of someone utilizing your services.

Now, it’s important to be interactive on social media. Don’t just share an article and click out. Speak to those who are leaving comments under the article. Doing this will help you to build relationships with potential clients and will also help to paint you as a credible, likeable, and personable individual.

Using social media in a positive way can offer you substantial long-term success. Using it improperly could actually end up hurting your reputation. So be consistent and be professional, and good things will come your way.

4. Embark on an SEO Campaign

Perhaps the best long-term method for getting clients is to embark on an SEO campaign. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and it is the process of getting your website on search engines so that they can be more easily found by relevant individuals. The higher your website ranks for a particular keyword, the greater chance you have of being noticed.

There is a great deal that goes into SEO, and it doesn’t offer results overnight. But if you are consistent in carrying out necessary strategies, you can eventually gain substantial amounts of online exposure.

Let’s say you’re a divorce lawyer located in Cleveland, Ohio. If you want to be found by potential clients in the Cleveland area, you would create a website and optimize it with specific keywords like “divorce lawyer in Cleveland” or “Cleveland divorce lawyer”. That way, whenever someone types one of these phrases into Google or another search engine, your website would pop up toward the top of the results.

Note, though, that you’ll be competing against other lawyers in your area. So, you can’t just post keywords on your website and let it be. You have facilitated a variety of other strategies as well.

Strategies needed for good SEO include backlink building, local citation building, page speed optimization, and much more. Unfortunately, the time needed to carry out all of these responsibilities is substantial. As such, if you’re interested in pursuing SEO, you would be wise to hire a specialist.

Yes, the waiting period can be annoying. But once you’re ranking for your keywords, you stand to see a consistent stream of interested clients.

5. Pay for Advertising

Paying for advertising is never ideal, but it’s often necessary. And though it will set you back monetarily initially, it should pay dividends over time.

There are all types of advertising for you to utilize. Social media and search engine advertising are targeted and will generally land you good results.

However, you could also stick to more traditional types of advertisement, for instance, TV commercials, radio adverts, bench signs, billboards, etc.

6. Network!

The last of our law firm marketing strategies is to network. If you really want to build a client base, you’re going to have to get out there and speak to other people. You can’t wait for them to come to you.

Attend local events, frequent networking workshops, and find reasons to speak with those in your area. At first, you might just be striking up friendships. But in time, those friends could very well turn into paying clients.

Now You Know How to Get Clients as a Lawyer

Are you ready to buckle down and land your dream job?

If so, it’s time to polish up that resume once and for all! The good news is that with a few resume writing tips, you can be well on your way to your best resume yet. When we consider that 70% of employers have concrete resume “deal-breakers” it’s clear why having a standout resume is vital.

If you’re feeling a little lost, we’re here to guide you. Read on for five simple, yet effective tips on how to build the best resume possible.

1. Keep it Clear and Concise

First things first, you want to keep your resume clear and concise.

While it may be tempting to add flowery descriptions, do your best to resist such an urge. Your goal should be to outline your job experience using the clearest and concise means possible.

If you can limit your resume to one page, this is ideal. However, if you need to expand to a secondary page, be sure that the information on it is necessary.

2. Create an Original Template

In today’s day and age, there are countless resume templates available online.

If you really want your resume to stand out, be sure to go the extra mile with an original template. While you want to ensure this template is easy-to-read, you can allow room for creativity.

When finding resume templates online, remember that these templates are only a basic outline. Take the time necessary to make the templates your own and add a touch of your personality.

3. Leave It to The Professionals

If you’re not exactly a wordsmith, why not leave your resume writing to the professionals?

These professionals understand the ins-and-outs of how to create the best resume possible. With this, they’ll transform your past experience into an unstoppable resume. These professionals know how to make even new and inexperienced candidates stick out.

In addition to crafting your resume, professional resume writing services will also help to ensure that your spelling and grammar are flawless. In order for your resume to be taken seriously, this is an absolute must! In fact, 77% of recruiters would automatically screen-out a resume with poor grammar and spelling.

4. Document Your Unpaid Experiences

Sure, your prior job experience is likely the most important factor in whether or not you’re the right candidate for the job.

But, you’re also going to want to outline any volunteer experience that you have under your belt. Try your best to relate this volunteer experience to the job in which you’re applying.

5. Include a Cover Letter

Of course, your resume is the bread and butter of your job application.

However, you’re always going to want to include a cover letter. This is one aspect of the job-seeking process that applicants often leave out.

Think of your cover letter as a letter of introduction. While your resume will outline your general job experience, your cover letter will dictate why your experience makes you the perfect candidate for this job.

Today’s Best Resume Writing Tips

Are you ready to get started?

If you’re looking to craft your best resume yet, allow these resume writing tips to inspire you. From hiring a professional to creating an original template, a great resume doesn’t have to be such a tedious task.

Did you know YouTube has over 1.8 billion users each month? If you want to learn how to improve your YouTube visibility, we can help.

In this guide, we’ll go over YouTube video tips to improve your channel.

Want to learn more? Keep reading.

1. Use Descriptive Keywords in Your Title

An exciting and descriptive title can improve your YouTube visibility. Your title will include keywords that will let viewers know the topic of your video.

Conduct keyword research to pick the right one for your title. You can use Google Trends to get started on keywords. Type in the words that describe your video. Google will suggest related keywords.

When you optimize your video content, you’ll get organic views from users.

2. Write a Keyword-Rich Description

You can inform users and search engines what your video is about in the description. Having a well-written description will boost the click-through-rate and views.

When viewers read your description, they’ll know what to expect. Descriptions will also let YouTube’s algorithm understand the subject of your video.

3. Optimize Your Thumbnail Picture

Your thumbnail is the visual correspondent to your description and title. The thumbnail image can help increase your YouTube views.

Make sure you use high-quality photos that have engaging fonts and facial closeups. Don’t let YouTube choose your image at random.

You can also add an annotation to your video. An annotation is a text box that appears in your thumbnail. You can add further details and boost your click-through rate by including a CTA.

4. Add Transcripts

Transcripts or captions of your videos can increase your YouTube visibility. Closed captions help you get more views.

People with a disability can still enjoy your video. International viewers can also view your YouTube channel.

5. Build a Community

YouTube isn’t only a search engine for videos. You can build a social network on YouTube and grow your audience. You will need to engage with your viewers.

The best way to build your community online is to respond to comments. If someone asks a direct question, make sure you answer their question. Viewers will comment if they notice you respond to other commenters.

Browse for comments on your new videos. In your niche community, make sure you’re viewing videos and leaving comments as well.

If you engage with authenticity, viewers will become more passionate about your channel.

6. Provide Entertaining and Informational Content

Set a goal to engage, entertain, or teach your viewers about something. If a viewer finds your content valuable, they will return to your channel.

The views will increase in future videos. Viewers might share your content with their network and subscribe to your channel. You can add a poll to your video and ask people for topic recommendations.

Check out the Suggested Video section after you finish a video. YouTube’s algorithm will present content here that’s related to the content.

Try to optimize your video so that it’s relevant to other popular videos. You will have more views because users will see your video pop up. Create video content that covers a similar topic.

7. Invite Guest YouTubers to Your Channel

Like guest posting, you can invite guest YouTubers or influencers to your channel. People with influence can bring their following to your channel. You’ll see an increase of views on your videos.

Interest your users with household industry names who give a different perspective. Make sure you offer a link to their website or channel in your description.

This way, you can build a beneficial relationship and support them as well.

8. Try to Use Cards

Promote your other content within your video with cards. Cards are a YouTube optimization feature.

Get more channel subscribers, promote video content, and send traffic to your website. Donate to a non-profit or encourage your viewers to take part in a poll.

You’ll want to use the cards to encourage users to check out your lesser watched content.

You can use your behavioral analytics to see when users stop watching your video. Put the card in before to make sure it gets seen by more viewers.

9. Don’t Forget About End Screens

Your end screen will function as a few things. Users can check out recommended videos, playlists, or channel information.

If you link to other videos or a subscription box, you’ll want to use this optimization feature.

First, you’ll want to go to your Video Manager. Click edit on the video you want to add to, and then you’ll click Add an end screen. There you can add the extra features.

10. Edit Your Videos

High-quality videos don’t need a high-quality production. If you don’t have the best video equipment, that’s okay.

You want to make sure your videos appear professional. You will need a well-lit background and a script.

Begin with a simple technique. The floating head video that features one person on screen is an effective strategy.

Make sure your on-screen personality is engaging and well-rehearsed. Keep the background distraction-free.

You can create a few recordings. Edit them together until you have the best final product. Learn more about YouTube visibility in this helpful post.

We may no longer be living in the Golden Age of Radio, but that doesn’t mean radio can’t be an effective advertising medium today.

In fact, a whopping 93% of American adults listen to radio every week which is higher than their mobile device and television usage. This means radio advertising can still be a great way to reach your target audience.

The key to a successful radio advertising campaign is writing a great script. Every second must count when you have one minute or less to get your message across.

Here’s how to write a radio ad that engages and converts using these ten tips.

1. Know Your Audience

Radio stations tend to attract different demographics. Besides choosing appropriate ones to reach your intended audience, you also need to use the right messaging.

Millennials, for example, are not going to respond to a tone aimed at Baby Boomers. You need to understand your audience’s likes and dislikes and avoid talking to them in a way that could insult them or by using words that aren’t part of their everyday conversation.

Do your research on the demographic you wish to reach before you begin writing your radio script.

2. Create a Strong Hook

You need to get your listeners at “hello”, and that means writing a strong opening. This is perhaps the toughest portion to write because you want to draw them in and keep them listening to your message.

There’s no magic formula for this; you may open the ad with an announcer asking your listeners a question, two people having a conversation, music, or something else. But whatever you come up with, it needs to be engaging enough to pique interest.

3. Keep it Simple

Your radio ad needs to get to the point quickly. You don’t have the time to tell a really long story—and your listeners would lose interest anyway, especially if they’re waiting for the channel to get back to the music or show. So keep your script simple so the audience knows right away what you’re selling.

A good logical formula to follow when writing a radio script is creating a strong opening followed by your product’s top benefits and why they need it. Then close your script with a call to action.

4. Empathize With Your Audience

Put yourself in your audience’s shoes. See if you can understand their problem or frustration and how your product or service can help. Then make it clear in your script that you understand their problem and how you can solve it.

You may want to amplify their pain a bit during the ad by reminding them that their problem won’t go away on its own. Then tell them what you’re selling can do for them.

5. Use a Jingle or Music

You can probably think of a half dozen advertising jingles off the top of your head, so considering using one yourself in your radio ad. Radio relies solely on audio to make an impact, and a bit of catchy music sets your brand apart and makes it easier for your listeners to remember what you’re selling.

You can also include sound effects and voice actors to create a story and add further interest. You want your listeners to form mental images from your message, so make the most of sound.

6. Stay Away From Tech Speak

Avoid using big, complicated words in your radio ad even if you’re promoting a product or service that’s on the technical side. Think of how you would explain to a friend what your product or service is all about. If your audience doesn’t understand what your product delivers, they’re not going to buy it.

One approach to get around this is to focus on how the product or service will make your audience feel versus giving an in-depth description of its benefits.

7. Hire the Right Voice Actor

Your narrator’s voice should be appropriate for your messaging. A deep, booming male voice won’t be a good choice for selling personal feminine products (unless you’re doing so with humor or they’re playing a part in the script.) Hire the right commercial voice over actor who strikes the tone you’re going for.

8. Be Original

How many radio ads can you recall on any given day? For many listeners, all radio ads tend to sound the same, especially when they’re focused on driving.

If possible, try to make yours stand out a bit. This may include using humor, music, sound effects, and other elements if appropriate.

Instead of hiring one voice actor, consider hiring two who can have a conversation back and forth about your product or service to make it more interesting.

9. Trim Words and Rewrite

As we’ve said, every word needs to count when writing a great radio ad script. Be prepared to pare it down and make every sentence concise and impactful.

After writing your script, you’ll want to read it out loud and make sure it fits the allotted length of the radio spot. Nine times out of ten on your first draft, it won’t. If a sentence can be reworded with fewer words and still get the message across, edit it.

10. Wrap up With a Strong Call to Action

You want your listeners to take action after hearing your advertisement. Make it easy for them by providing clear information at the end, whether it’s a phone number to call or a website address to visit.

Have a special or limited time offer or discount? Make that part of your call to action as well.

It doesn’t hurt to repeat your jingle and have it sing your number or website—as mentioned, music makes it easier to recall information. Or make sure the number or website is simple so they’ll remember it.

Learn How to Write a Radio Ad That Sells

Now that you know how to write a radio ad that sells, remember that writing an engaging script takes time. Don’t expect to have a winner on your hands after the first try.

Check out our Brand Promotion section for tips on other marketing channels you can use to sell your product or service.

So much of contemporary business happens online or intersects with your online presence that it’s hard to overestimate the importance of your online reputation. It also means business owners give some attention to online reputation management.

You might wonder, “How many business owners think it matters?” Approximately 97% of business owners consider it a meaningful element of their business.

That means you must figure out what you can use for managing that reputation. keep reading for five online reputation management tools.

1. BuzzSumo

BuzzSumo lets you sift through online content for key terms, brand mentions, and even backlinks. What makes BuzzSumo so useful is that it also provides you an engagement score. That helps you understand how much traction your good and bad press get online.

Let’s say you find out that your business gets destroyed for its inefficient hiring process in reviews. You can start making repairs by announcing that you’re using new recruitment agency software.

2. Google Alerts

Probably the simplest and most accessible tool on the list, Google Alerts shoots you an email when specific search terms appear on the web. Let’s say that someone writes a great review of your business or a scathing review of your new product.

As long as you have an alert set up for the right keywords, Google will let you know.

3. Buffer

Online reputation management isn’t just a matter of reacting to content that appears online. It’s also about managing your social media profiles. Buffer lets you create and schedule posts for your social media profiles from one dashboard.

That lets you maintain an active presence online even if you aren’t on the sites every day.

4. Brand Grader

Wondering how your business brand stacks up? Brand Grader analyzes your brand online and generates a report. The report details recent results relating to:

Brand mentions

Influencers

Sentiment

Follower volumes

This free tool can help give you a snapshot of where your brand stands and what needs work.

5. Standalone Services

Sometimes, you find out that your online reputation management is only weak in one area. For example, you may only have a few reviews online. Since online reviews play such an important role in purchase decisions, you want to boost that.

A service like ReputationResults streamlines the process of customer outreach for snagging reviews.

You can find similar standalone services for almost all aspects of online reputation management.

Parting Thoughts on Online Reputation Management Tools

You can find online reputation management tools that range from free to very expensive. These same tools come with a diverse range of options and features. In the long run, though, the best tool is one you have now.

If you can’t afford a new tool or already built core processes around a different tool, don’t chase the shiny new object. Evaluate whether a new tool will serve you better and at a cost you can manage. Remember, you can always replace a tool later.

Did you know 87% of customers only support a business if they have high ratings?

As you can tell, customer reviews are vital for your business. Today, your customers can find reviews by searching for your business, visiting review sites, and even on social media.

But not all customers are nice and they will easily leave a bad review.

Whether you’re at fault or their standards are high, negative reviews can hurt your score on several review sites and search engines. That’s why it’s essential that you face the dragon and respond to bad customer reviews.

What method should you take when responding to negative reviews? Continue reading and know how to handle the unsatisfied customers.

Why Respond to Negative Reviews?

When you see a bad review, it’s easy to throw the covers over your head and pretend it doesn’t exist. Unfortunately, this is the worst measure you can take.

Negative reviews don’t only hurt your chance of gaining new customers and achieving customer retainment.

Negative reviews can impact your SEO. While negative reviews can benefit your SEO performance, they can be a drawback if your competitors receive phenomenal reviews.

There’s a way to prevent this – responding to negative reviews.

When you respond to your negative reviews, you’re further engaging with your customer and are addressing the problem. If the problem is one you can easily fix, such as a rude employee, you can take action.

Responding to the review doesn’t only guarantee you’ll solve the problem, but you are making a direct promise to the customer.

This also helps new customers. They may see you received a bad review, but reading your response will gain more trust.

Google also picks up on this conversation. They see your reviews, your response, and will amp up your search engine ratings.

Responding to Negative Reviews: The Tried and True Method

Now that you know the importance of responding to negative reviews, it’s time to take action. If you’re stumped on what to say, here are a few good pieces of advice.

Be Empathetic

You know what it’s like to have a bad experience as a customer. You feel helpless and upset. That’s why it’s vital you show empathy and acknowledge their emotions.

Always apologize. Never make it about you or your business – make your response about the customer.

For example, saying “I’m sorry you had a bad experience” is better than saying “I’m sorry but we were short-staffed and this never happens.”

Always Re-Market Your Brand – With Sympathy

Now the overall reason why you’re responding. This is a great opportunity to promote your brand and make things right. Just because your first response shows sympathy doesn’t mean this response shouldn’t.

Start by using the previous advice: make it about the customer, but tie in your brand, a product, a service, a promotion, or something similar.

If you own a restaurant, a good example is “I’m terribly sorry to hear about your bad experience. Next time you come to visit, lunch is on us!”

Include Your Contact Information

The key to retaining unsatisfied customers is moving the conversation off of the review boards. The easiest way to do this is by offering your contact information.

Use one of the conversation templates we suggested and include your email address or phone number.

Keep Your Response Simple

When responding to bad customer reviews, don’t go into too much detail. As mentioned previously, make it about the customer and rope them back into your business.

This should successfully be done in no more than two or three sentences.

Don’t Let Negative Reviews Get You Down!

Negative reviews can impact your business as a whole, but responding to these reviews will help retain customers and develop trust.

Every day 1 million people start using the internet. 1 million people. Every day.

Think about that for a second.

Are you done? In that one second, 11 more people have logged on.

By this point most people understand that to run a successful business the capital I Internet will play a major role. That being said, digital marketing is a complex and multifaceted industry in and of itself, and you probably won’t want to go it alone.

So, how do you find a digital agency that caters to your needs?

The answer: questions.

You need to know what kinds of marketing questions to ask, and why.

1. But First, Are You Experienced?

When musical legend Jimi Hendrix posed that question, he definitely was not talking about digital marketing strategies. But you should be.

When you’re interviewing potential agencies the first thing you want to know is whether or not they have experience working in your industry. Digital marketing is not a one-size-fits-all service, the more familiar an agency is with your specific business the better.

2. What Am I Paying You For?

The world of business is one of the few places that money talk is not only welcome but necessary. A good digital marketing agency will be able to give you a detailed breakdown of their services and what kind of investment you’ll be looking at. It doesn’t matter how amazing the agency is if you can’t afford their services, you’ll need to find a partnership that fits your needs and your budget.

3. How Do You Measure Success?

The metrics involved in digital marketing can be overwhelming and inaccessible to most of us. If you’re partnering with an agency it’s important that they’re able to clearly communicate how, why and where your strategy is working.

4. Show, Don’t Tell

This is a well-known rule in writing, but it’s also a useful way to approach any kind of hiring process. It’s one thing for an agency to tell you all about what they can and will do, it’s another to see real-world examples. Any digital marketing agency worth their salt will have a robust portfolio on hand to show possible clients.

5. How Will You Make Me Stand Out?

It’s important to find an agency that has in-depth knowledge about your niche market. It’s possibly more important to find an agency with the know-how when it comes to making businesses stand out in their market.

6. What Do You Need From Me?

Digital marketing isn’t something that you can outsource completely, and for the best results, you’ll need to be involved from start to finish. You’ll want to know how an agency works with their clients, not for.

7. What Else is on the Table?

Digital marketing agencies usually use a variety of tools to create successful campaigns, for instance, 316 Strategy Group, a digital marketing agency based in Nebraska, offers in-house web development, visual production and logo/branding design. Your best-case scenario is finding an agency that can meet all your needs.

In the End, As Many Marketing Questions Possible

These may be the most important questions, but they’re definitely not all you need to ask when finding the right fit for your business. Let us know in the comments what marketing questions you’d add to the list and why!

Your online reputation is just as important as your reputation in the everyday world. Here are 5 ways for how to protect your online reputation so that you can remain a reputable and reliable source for your followers.

It seems like every day, there’s another story about someone foolishly using social media and getting fired for it. People get fired for old posts because they failed to think that anyone would go through them. If you don’t protect your reputation online, you could be the next head on the chopping block.

Here are 5 ways you could help protect your reputation while still enjoying the Internet.

1. Work Profile, Play Profile

You don’t need to be a digital hermit just to protect your online reputation. Many celebrities, politicians, and public figures have both a professional and private profile. Their private profile usually uses their initials, a middle name, or a nickname that only their friends and family know.

Having a work profile means that you don’t get left out of any professional events, being tagged in photos, or forgotten in conversations. A work profile gets to be massaged, with every post vetted, adding to the allure of your persona. It’s actually very exciting for people when they only get a little bit of information about you at a time.

A separate private profile allows your family to post group photos with you tagged in them. They can reach out to you directly with anything, rather than your public profile which could be managed by an assistant. A play profile also allows you to have you to have real conversations and explore your humorous side, warts and all.

The biggest thing to worry about when you have two profiles is that you’re never posting to the wrong one. The best way to manage your two profiles is for your personal devices to be logged into your private account while your work devices are on your public one. You can maintain the balance by having to move to a completely different device to post.

2. Start Over

If you’re about to step into the public realm, you could always just press reset on your old life. If you’re under 40, you’ve lived a good portion of your adulthood under the microscope of the web. People have been watching your every move for years.

If you need a refresh, there’s nothing wrong with canceling an old account and starting a new one. You can even archive your old account, save the old information, and then scrub it from the world.

Starting from scratch for some people is like grabbing a ticket halfway across the world and starting over. It’s like moving to a new city where you don’t know anyone. Many people report feeling relieved and happier once they were no longer tethered to the false sense of connection and identity that social media provides.

3. Google Yourself

Searching for yourself online is the best way to see what your reputation really looks like to others. If you don’t see anything wildly incriminating in your first page or two, you should be in good luck.

Try to remember any crazy events you were at, political protest for causes you no longer support, or now-problematic celebrities you loved. If there are photos of you shaking hands with Sadaam Hussein, you might want to get control of those images. If there’s a report you wrote in the 90s about what a great movie producer Harvey Weinstein was, you might need to take those posts down.

If you posted to a blog that you no longer have the credentials for, all is not lost. It’s common for this to happen and tech support should be prepared to help you out.

Run searches on different engines. Use the name of any schools or universities that you attended. Plug in any incriminating terms if you’re looking for a specific embarrassing event.

4. Don’t Drink and Post

Drinking and posting online is a surefire way to end up in deeper trouble than you intended. Being drunk in photos can come back to bite you if you look a little too drunk. Everyone needs time to unwind, but yours shouldn’t overlap with using social media.

Lots of people post wild strange things online and then try to call it an accident, a hack, or a momentary lapse of judgment. It’s hard for the public to believe these excuses if the incidents keep happening. You’re better off just logging out of social media and off any blogging sites if you’re out having a good time.

If you’re really having a good time, what are you doing on social media anyhow? Perhaps you need a break from social media. View here for more ideas on what you could do instead of being on social media.

5. “Don’t Be Evil”

While this was once a key slogan in Google’s code of conduct, it’s a great credo for all of us to live by. Making conscious efforts to only do good in the world can easily trickle down to our online life. If we’re always trying to be constructive and make the world a better place, “don’t be evil” is a perfect statement to remember.

Being online allows us to say the mean things we’re thinking to a wide group of people without having to start the person we’re talking about in the face. That level of anonymity can belie some serious viciousness. “Don’t be evil” is a reminder to avoid that viciousness.

If you have the tools to hack into a system, to break into your ex-partner’s inbox, or to mess around with for former employer’s computer, think twice. Not only could you be violating the law, but you could be violating your own personal code of ethics.

Remember, don’t be evil.

Protect Your Online Reputation Forever

When you set out to protect your online reputation, you may not have realized it would be a constant struggle. Every post that you or anyone else makes about you could have ramifications out of your control. Without enough protection, you could be the next person on the news posted next to photos of a racy or poorly chosen Halloween costume.

Doesn’t every company need a brand refresh if it wishes to survive? We all saw those charts in college that showed how a company rises and inevitability falls. If you were one of those unlucky few who had to produce essays on how blue-chip companies manage to avoid the inevitable death of their company, then you will have written about how brand evolution worked to update brand principles, structure, and appearance.

Here is why a brand refresh is a good thing.

A Brand Refresh Can Help You Re-Target

Take the example of Pepsi that has re-branded itself plenty of times. It used to run as a direct competitor to Coca Cola, then as a tastier version of Coca Cola, then as a mixer mainstay, until it finally stuck with marketing to younger people as the “Cool/Radical/Awesome” version of Coca Cola. It was the skater’s choice, the cross biker’s choice, it was the sort of drink that attracted beautiful women in fancy cars.

None of this would have been possible without a brand refresh. Even the logos changed as their brand did, from pushing to be sold more in pubs, to hiring celebrities to sell to kids in their ads.

Brand Refreshes Can Test the Market

Instead of opting for a full re-branding or re-targeting, a company can run a subtle brand refresh and see how their users take to the changes. If the response is positive or neutral, it may signal the way towards a bigger branding exercise. A brand refresh allows a company to dip its toe in the water with something as simple as a website refresh from a company offering Web Design Mornington Peninsula.

It Reminds People That Your Brand Has Not Gone Stale

Have you ever worked with a piece of software that is great, but it is getting dated and you figure you will stick with it until something better comes along. Then, out of the blue, amazing updates arrive and suddenly the software is more convenient, easier to use, and has drawn a bigger online community; examples include Blender.org, WordPress, PayPal, Netflix, Capital One, and Bing.

Re-Directing with a New Marketing Campaign

Let’s say that you want to move away from selling to smaller businesses to selling to the public or maybe want to expand your brand in a different direction. A brand refresh can mark the first turning point. In fact, it can play an integral part.

As your new campaigns seek different audiences, your websites, logos, and brand principles are altered and advertised. A brand refresh doesn’t always have to be an issue of window dressing. Sometimes it can mark the start of deeper internal changes that stem right from the company’s core brand principles.

What Is a Brand to Do?

Why may a brand refresh be a bad thing? It is often a bad thing when the refresh is widely disliked. Any form of re-branding, brand refreshing, brand re-targeting or brand evolution comes with the risk that the target demographic will reject the changes. Yet, history has taught us that companies must push forward or perish.

Woolworth’s never evolved and its competitors kicked it into the dust. Xerox didn’t move with technology and sealed its own doom. In short, change is dangerous but necessary.

Reputation is everything, especially if you wish to run a successful brand. If you want to know more, then browse the other articles on ReputationResults.com.

Is your business limited by your current mobile marketing strategy?

Don’t limit yourself to online mobile apps. Keep in mind that with over 95% of the American population owning a phone, you can also reach out to them via SMS.

Don’t have an SMS marketing campaign or looking to improve it? Blanking out on what you should write in that limited 160-character space?

Well, you’ve come to the right place.

Below are 8 text ideas that will boost your mobile marketing campaign to the next level! Get ready for some slick pointers on how you can apply a better SMS campaign.

1. Know Your Influencers

Are you the type of person who will take the time to give ratings? Chances are, you are an influencer. That means you’re an unpaid advertiser of the product that you’re an influencer of.

That’s not a bad thing at all. Your word on a product or service is your way of promoting it to your friends and family. The same applies to your mobile marketing campaign.

The question is: how do you find out who your influencers are?

Send your customers an SMS to rate how well you are doing. Those who send texts back are your influencers.

This type of customer feedback through text marketing will not always work. Get to know what your clients want with different hooks. If you find one or more that gets you a reaction, stick with it and enhance it.

2. Tips and Facts for Text Ideas

Content marketing is a wonderful way to attract customers. Send helpful tips or facts about your product or service. Other than giving them information about you and your product, you’ll also gain their trust.

Sharing tips will be very helpful to small businesses as well. For example, a small business like a restaurant can give brief recipes to its customers. A furniture store can send short tips on DIY furniture-making.

The best SMS marketing strategy is one that connects you with your customers. Offer bits of information about the scenery around your café. Give your clients a pleasant surprise by telling them about hidden Easter eggs in your gaming store.

Keep in mind that not everyone will appreciate this. Keep your bonus services flexible. Always give them the choice to turn these messages off.

3. Coupons and Flash Discounts

When you go to the mall, sometimes you’ll see big SALE posters. How many people do you see leave the mall with purchased items on sale? Let’s face it, it’s a marketing strategy that works.

We can say the same with mobile users who do their shopping online. In 2017, 68% of American shoppers used their phones to search for coupons.

Giving coupons is possible through SMS too, giving users a new solution.

Send discount codes through SMS messages. Or, give them discount conditions like the usual ‘Buy 1 Get 1’ schtick. Do it on chosen holidays, seasons, or random days.

You can also offer birthday discounts. These are marketing ideas best done if you have a physical store or customer information. That way, you can confirm their birth dates.

4. SMS and Social Platforms

There is no way your business doesn’t have a social platform. Integrate your website, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other online addresses through a text message. URLs for social sites don’t often reach 160 characters.

If it’s possible to subscribe to your newsletter, let your customers know via text. Getting your customers to engage with you is always a great way to connect with them. It’s true whether you’re using SMS or social platforms.

Text blast marketing is applicable in this case. SMS messages have a higher chance of clickthrough if they have URLs in them. Increased traffic in your social media sites is one way to get better brand awareness.

5. Pose Polls

A great way to know your customers is through polls. Ask a question and provide multiple choices. Knowing your customers’ wants can be visible through polls as well.

We have a couple of tips for running polls. A poll with one multiple answer questions should last 2-3 days. There are many types of poll questions.

Find out what you want to know about your clients before you create your questions. Remember, your questions should be brief and simple. That way, there will still be enough characters for your multiple choices.

Open-ended polls are trickier to do but easier to ask. Open-ended polls can last five days. You should stop until you collect at least 150-200 written answers. A part of them will go unused because they’re gibberish.

6. Customized Communication

If you received an SMS addressed to you, you are not going to ignore it. In fact, it likelier for you to read through it. Thus, this unique text message idea: customize your SMS texts with your clients.

Ask your clients for their preferred time to get your messages. They might inform you that they prefer a website to SMS. If so, then lead them to your mobile-friendly site.

Some of them might even have preferred code names. Input that into your text messaging software, and you’re good to go.

It’s never a bad idea to bond with your clients.

7. Send Surveys

With the growing number of mobile message app users around the world, it’s important to keep your customers still in touch with the SMS functions of their phones. One way to do that is by running customer surveys. Although, remember that your customers prefer short surveys.

Note also that you’re limited to 160 characters for your survey. You have to be able to ask your survey question within that character limit. Sending messages in parts can be annoying.

So, how should you ask your survey question within 160 characters?

Try this: ‘If you liked this option, message us!’ If you wish, change some words. Be creative.

As a note, surveys are different from polls. Though surveys are often longer than polls, SMS surveys don’t have to be. Yet they do give you more information or data.

8. Reminders for Appointments

This is more suited to businesses where customers make appointments. This is best for clinics, salons, spas, restaurants, and even event planners.

For simple reminders, SMS is the most convenient for you and your client. It also wouldn’t take too much effort on their part to reply if they can’t show up.

Don’t make the avoidable mistake of using emails for appointment notices. Many people don’t open an email for marketing campaigns. Other than that, imagine how many emails a person has to go through in his inbox.

What crops up when you search for your name? For some people, negative news stories rank near the top. You may not have been accused of a crime, but people might make some unpleasant remarks about you online.

Whether you run your own business or want to land a new job, a negative story in search results is the last thing you need. A bad review might have a new client thinking twice.

How can you bury Google search results? It’s easier than you think.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to push down negative search results on Google. By doing so, you can reclaim your reputation and improve your personal brand. Landing a new job or improving your business’s reputation is just a few steps away.

This Strategy for Burying Results Rarely Works

The first advice you might get about how to bury negative search results is to ask for removal of the content. Unfortunately, this strategy rarely works.

First, the negative result may be coming from a domain that is no longer monitored. Worse, it might be an extortion site, which will just replicate the content. If you’re unsure about the website, don’t contact the webmaster to request removal.

Some people will put in a DMCA request to have Google remove the negative content. Google is unlikely to remove the content unless there’s copyright infringement.

Mastering SEO is How to Push Down Negative Search Results on Google

If you want a more effective method for how to push negative search results down, it’s time to learn about search engine optimization.

The principle behind SEO is optimizing your content to rank higher in search results. You can’t control what other people are publishing about you. You can control what you put out there.

You’ll want to create some content that ranks high for your search keyword. In the case of your reputation, the keyword is your name or the name of the business. With SEO content, you can push your personal website and your social media accounts to the top spot.

Create More Content to Bury Results

You’ve improved your ranking for your website, but the negative story is still on the first page of results. Using what you’ve learned about SEO, create some more stellar content for your website.

You can also create a blog on a platform like Medium or WordPress. Don’t forget the power of backlinking either. Write for authoritative publications to push down negative search results on Google.

This is the most effective strategy for how to bury Google search results.

You Must Manage Your Online Reputation

From this discussion of how to push down negative search results on Google, you should know you must act. A negative news story could be harming your online reputation, and no one else will manage it for you.

Your business has a great product or service, but you’re lacking a logo that really shows off what you do and who you are.

Which means you are potentially losing business because of a lack of branding.

If this is familiar territory, you’re in the right place.

In this post, we go over the most popular and trending modern logo designs that are going to dominate the branding space in 2019.

You’ll be able to take a look at what’s hot, and figure out which style suits your business. Then it’ll be off to the races (or print shop) to get your new logo out into the world.

Sound interesting? Keep reading to find out more!

1. ’80s Inspired Logos

You read that right… the ’80s are back! And it’s not just in fashion and music trends. It’s in logo design as well.

When you think of 80s design, there are a few things that pop to mind: like the use of bold colors and in-your-face patterns. Maximalism was also the word of the era, as 80s logos and design in general looked to go big or go home.

The same is true for 2019, with 80s inspired looks already showing up all over the business world. And experts are predicting this trend will continue through the year. Read more here about how maximalism is beating out minimalism moving forward.

2. Geometric Shape Logos

Another trend we’re seeing this year is the use of geometric shapes. But not only that: mixing them with minimalist design allows the shapes to pop in unexpected ways.

Geometric shapes like squares, triangles, and circles are imprinted in our minds, and their tangible forms convey meanings to us.

For example, they tend to convey a sense of efficiency, since they make use of space in an efficient manner themselves. This then makes viewers attribute that idea of efficiency to the brand using the logo.

They also convey structure and organization. And when you put geometric shapes into a minimalist setting, it makes the shapes (and the perceived attributes) pop even more.

All of these are attributes that businesses certainly want to be thought of as having!

3. Semi-Flat Logos

When you look at a computer screen, you are inherently looking at a two-dimensional image. So it stands to reason that any logo that is able to convey three-dimensionality will stand out.

That’s why semi-flat logos are having a moment, especially online and in mobile apps.

They are created by utilizing gradient colors. This technique creates the appearance of a shadow, and thus gives the logo a slightly 3D look. Plus, an effective use of angles in the design will enhance that look even further.

Another major benefit of using this kind of design is that since it’s so popular in the tech sector, using it will make your company seem like you are up to date and modern.

4. Textbox Logos

The textbox logo isn’t exactly the newest kid on the block. They’ve been around forever, and have been used in every conceivable branding situation.

But the reason for this is that textbox logos are extremely versatile. Changes in the box color, the internal font, and the size of the font can mean drastically different looks.

The textboxes function as borders around the letters of the writing inside them. And the solid nature of the box means that even when the entire logo is placed over another graphic, the logo stands out.

The way the box also separates the font from the rest of the graphic makes using variations in font type is also an easy possibility. This gives you design options wherever you’re using the logo, from print ads to online inforgraphics.

So you can go from sleek and modern to cool and retro without moving away from the textbox format.

5. Gradient Logos

We talked about the use of gradient colors in the section on semi-flat logos. But designers are using them in modern contexts beyond just making three-dimensional looks.

It’s a known that color conveys emotion. So the idea is that if you can show a range of similar colors, it conveys movement of that emotion. And the psychology of color is crucial in choosing your logo’s palette.

Not only that, but having a color gradient allows for a look that is more distinct from other logos out there. If you only use solid colors, you run the risk of being more reminiscent of all the other logos also doing that.

And as long as the logo design uses colors that are near each other on the color wheel, the gradient look will really pop.

Another great aspect of using gradient colors in a logo is that it translates really well to moving GIF’s, which are more and more common these days.

6. Neon Logos

Remember how we mentioned the resurgence of 8’s looks? Well, neon logos are another offshoot of that.

Neon is being used more and more, and designers predict that in 2019 this trend will only increase. This is clearly tied to the throwback 80s look that more and more people are utilizing in their design.

Put simply, neon colors stand out! Whether it’s on a poster, in print, or online, it’s important to have something eye-catching.

And neon accomplishes that in spades. It’s vibrant, alive, and gets your attention.

7. Hand-Drawn Logos

And just when you thought everything was going to be about being big, bold, and standing out… we talk about hand-drawn logos.

And actually, hand-drawn logos do stand out in their own way. We aren’t usually accustomed to seeing logos that don’t look like they were computer generated.

So a hand-drawn logo really catches the eye because of the break from that expectation.

They also give a feeling of authenticity, because the viewer feels like they can see the handiwork of the artist who drew the logo. This kind of personal touch often helps customers feel closer to a company, regardless of the company’s size.

Modern Logo Designs

These are some of the modern logo designs that are trending this year. Pick a style that resonates with you and conveys the nature of your company’s brand.

And for tips on how to then use that logo, check out this post on strategic web design!

As a small business owner, it’s up to you to maintain consistent growth. In today’s competitive marketplace, this is crucial for survival.

About half of small businesses make it to the five-year point. This statistic may make you nervous, but there are things you can do to reach a wider audience.

There are a number of traditional and digital marketing strategies for small businesses. Let’s go over four highly-effective tactics that will support growth.

1. High-Quality Content Marketing

The content on your business website is fine for informing consumers about your products and services. However, publishing other forms of useful content will help get your name in front of more eyes.

Blogging is a great way to establish authority within your industry. Articles geared toward answering your target audience’s questions will build trust and name recognition.

Video is a popular way to deliver content online. Consider having professional videos made to promote new products and services.

The more content you publish online, the higher you’ll rank in search engines. Just remember, it must be relevant in order to make an impact.

2. A Social Media Campaign

If your business doesn’t have a social media presence, you’re missing out on a huge advertising channel. Sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn allow people to connect and interact with businesses like never before.

Start a social media campaign by creating profiles on sites you know your target audience uses. Facebook is a must.

You can then use your social media profiles to publish materials such as blog articles, videos, and links to industry-specific resources. You can also purchase Facebook ads to promote upcoming sales or product releases.

3. Advertise With Promotional Items

Although digital marketing dominates the advertising world today, physical tools like promotional items are still effective. Everyone likes getting something for free, and if it has your branding on it, even better.

Promotional material is a must-have if your business attends trade shows or conferences. When someone takes one of your promotional items, your name sticks with them.

Invest in things like t-shirt, pens, or hats with your logo on them. Or, get creative with something like promotional water bottle labels people won’t soon forget.

4. Email Marketing

A great way to stay on current customers minds and grab the attention of new customers is with an email newsletter. This is an easy way to deliver information about your business and services.

When creating an email marketing campaign, think about your target audience.

If it’s current customers, let them know about changes to the company or new products. This is also a great opportunity to preview new blog articles.

For potential customers, think of a newsletter as a way of introducing them to your business. Offering discounts on first-time purchases isn’t a bad idea either.

Try These Marketing Strategies for Small Businesses

If you’re ready to start seeing serious business growth, you need to stay on top of your marketing initiatives. If you don’t, you’ll remain a small fish in a big pond.

Use these marketing strategies for small businesses and start converting new clients right away.

1. Improves Your Website’s SEO

When people search for the products or services that your small business sells on Google, does your website pop up anywhere on the first page of search results?

If it doesn’t, this means you need to spend time improving the search engine optimization, or SEO, of your site. You need to show Google that your site has the information that people are looking for on it so that Google moves your site up closer to the top of search results.

There are many ways to improve your website’s SEO. But jumpstarting a blog is arguably the simplest way to do it. It’ll allow you to put together blogs that feature certain keywords that will appeal to your customer base.

2. Establishes Your Expertise in Your Industry

In order to convince people to purchase products or services from your small business, you need to build up a certain amount of trust with them. They need to be able to trust that you know what you’re talking about when it comes to your industry.

What better way to show off all that you know than by creating a blog? A blog will give you an opportunity to let the world know that you’re an established authority within your space.

Let’s say, for example, that you run a tow truck company. Before people to hire you to tow a car for them, they’re going to want to know more about what your company brings to the table.

One way they’ll find this out is by checking your online reviews to see what your customers have had to say about you over the years. But they’ll also do it by browsing through your blog to get a better sense of what your company is all about.

When they see that you have a blog filled with all kinds of useful information on towing, they’ll be more likely to trust you to perform a service for them.

3. Showcases Your Products or Services

The main part of your small business website might already contain a lot of valuable information on your products and services. But a blog will allow you to take things a step further while showcasing them.

For instance, the main part of your site might have product information on the auto parts that your company sells. People can read through product descriptions to see what they’ll be getting when they buy a part from you.

But on your blog, you can go more in-depth while discussing auto parts. You can create blogs with titles like “Why You Should Buy New Auto Parts Instead of Used Ones” and “5 Ways to Tell If It’s Time to Buy New Tires” to motivate your customers to purchase products or services from you.

4. Creates Connections With Customers

As a small business owner, one of your many goals should be to do whatever it takes to connect with your current and potential customers. Creating connections with people will develop loyalty.

By launching a blog, you’ll give customers a place to gather and read content related to your business. You’ll also give them an opportunity to leave feedback under each of your blogs for your business.

5. Provides You With Social Media Content

In 2019, it’s almost impossible to run a successful small business in the U.S. without relying on social media to some degree. You need to have Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts set up, and you need to update them every day.

One of the best social media marketing tips that you’ll ever get is that you shouldn’t just update social media accounts with information on the sales you’re holding or the new products that arrived yesterday.

You should update them with things that will have a chance of resonating with the people in your community.

When you have blog content going up on your site at least a few times a week, you’ll be able to link to it on your social media sites to attract attention for your business.

People will appreciate you supplying them with actual content as opposed to social media posts that are blatant attempts at making sales.

6. Allows You to Network With Other Businesses

As we mentioned earlier, building a blog on your small business website can improve your site’s SEO in dramatic ways. But you need to remember that you’re going to have to do more than just put blogs together.

Those blogs need to feature the right keywords in their headlines to make an impact as far as SEO is concerned. They also need to include those same keywords in your content. And you need to put in links to other trusted sites and blogs in your posts as well and, ideally, get them to link back to you.

Backlinks are an essential part of any solid SEO strategy. And to get them, you’ll need to network with other businesses and convince them that your content is worth linking to. This will create new relationships with other businesses and make you a stronger part of your community.

7. Keeps People Coming Back to Your Website

If you don’t have a blog on your site, what incentive do customers have to come back to it?

Most of the other content on your site is going to stay the same over the course of many months. But a blog can keep your site fresh and encourage people to come back, again and again, to see what’s new with your business.

Use the Benefits of Blogging to Your Advantage

As you can see, it makes all the sense in the world for your small business website to have a blog on it. There are too many benefits of blogging to ignore.

Create your own blog today and start updating it early and often. You’ll get a great response from your customers when you do it, and you’ll bring in new business almost right away.

Take a look at our blog to see some of the reasons why your website might be having a tough time generating traffic.

Promoting drug rehab facilities is a challenge for marketing professionals.

The rehab industry has a rocky relationship with ad platforms, often losing access on a whim. The industry has also come under fire by the U.S. government for its practices in the wake of the drug epidemic.

The $35+ billion a year industry presents thousands of competitors…

…how on Earth can you stand out? Try these.

Good Artists Copy, Great Artists Steal

Don’t flat-out steal your competitor’s efforts… but do take some liberties.

Successful competition has done the legwork in:

Audience research

Keyword selection

Content creation

Begin your treatment center marketing by compiling a list of your top 10 competitors. Then, examine what they do well and how you may close the “gap” between your business and theirs.

This could include:

Reworking page copy to reflect the target audience

Targeting the same or similar keywords (but adding your own spin)

Working on content known to do well in search and social

Take what your competitors do and make it better by expanding on it.

Make One Helluva Website and Online Presence

Google changes all the time, with a recent being the medic update. This changed the way websites featuring medical advice ranked. As you can expect, a lot of sites (including rehab facility sites) got hit hard.

That said: you have to embrace Google.

The backbone of catering to Google is offering users an incredible website:

Simple and intuitive navigation

Fast responsiveness and mobile design

Stacked with in-depth information

Use Inspire Malibu as an example of what your rehab site should reflect. See how the content depth is extensive and helpful. And, how the site offers a range of services and resources — it’s valuable to a rehab prospect.

Get Client Feedback and Champion Storytelling

What’s more convincing?

A sales letter trying to get you into rehab

A personal story of how rehab saved someone’s life

The latter gives a first-hand account of the experience. It also connects with the reader, touching on nuances you can’t convey in marketing speak.

Do this:

Send a letter to rehab clients requesting their feedback or story

Record their experience and turn it into a blog post

Promote their story across social media and/or ads

User submissions are a free source of content. Use it as often as you can!

Encourage Word-of-Mouth Referrals

Turn your most devout clients into brand advocates by encouraging referrals. An easy way is by reminding and encouraging online reviews.

It’s a two-step process:

Create a list of client prospects

Send an email reminding them to review the business

With reviews, you’ll begin dominating local searches. You’ll also have snippets you may use on the website and in marketing campaigns.

Reputation Management for Drug Rehab Facilities

A bad review or incident can put the facility at risk. Reputation management helps the best info rise up while squelching negativity.

Track news articles using the brand and personal keywords

Respond to comments and concerns as soon as they come in

Create fresh content to drive down the negative, hit pieces in search

You can apply this throughout your rehab marketing campaign. This reinforces the great content you create along the way. And, prevents disruptive behavior such as if a competitor begins a smear campaign.

A Tough But Rewarding Challenge

In the end, marketing drug rehab facilities is a challenge but not impossible. It takes a bit of savviness when so many platforms are against your efforts. Yet, it also comes down to using best practices and being ethical in its promotion.

What’s the next phase of promoting a rehab facility?

Keep growing your marketing efforts through outreach and online marketing. Do so by using our brand promotion guides and resources.

The once sharp divide between online and brick-and-mortar businesses becomes increasingly hazy as primarily offline businesses burnish their online presence.

It’s an act of basic self-preservation in a time when more than 90% of adults turn to the Internet for information. If they find your competitors instead of you, you just lost business.

For a specialized service like a chiropractic business, it’s especially important that you send just the right message. So, let’s dive in and look at a few key digital marketing tips.

1. Content Marketing

Think of content marketing as a way for you to leverage your knowledge and experience in establishing basic trust with potential customers. One of the most basic and widely used forms of content marketing is the basic blog.

A blog lets you demonstrate expertise, answer questions, and even set a brand voice. Good content marketing relies on consistently providing useful and valuable information over time.

This establishes a sense of trust and also encourages visitors to come back to your site. The familiarity with you and your brand enhances the odds they’ll select you as a service provider.

2. Encourage Reviews

Even a chiropractic business lives online as much as offline these days. You engage customers on social media, maintain a website, and you turn up on review sites. If you aren’t paying attention to that last one, you should.

Good reviews drive customers through your front door. Not seeing many reviews? Ask your regular customers to leave reviews for you.

Struggling with negative reviews? Consider bringing in professional online reputation management help.

3. Strengthen Local Presence

Unlike huge online retailers, your entire market exists within a small radius around your physical location. You must include information on your site that indicates your location, such as a physical address.

You should also integrate local keywords into your site copy. Let say you’re in Miami, FL. You mention serving the Miami area or a specific neighborhood, such as Wynwood.

4. Update Your Website Design

How long since you last updated the design of your website. If your business is like a lot of others, your answer is years. Just like music, fashions in website design change over time.

Leave your site design as-is for long enough and it starts looking extremely dated. Websites that look like they transported in from 2014 don’t inspire confidence in customers.

You can use professionals, such as Premier Practice, if you don’t feel comfortable changing your site design yourself.

5. Refine Your SEO

Good website design will solve some SEO challenges, like navigation and good user experience. SEO doesn’t end there.

A few things you should watch out for include:

site loading speed

optimized images

internal linking

outbound links to authority sites

Good SEO makes it more likely that search engines will rank your site favorably compared with competitor sites.

Parting Thoughts on Marketing Tips for Your Chiropractic Business

Digital marketing for your chiropractic business demands a certain comfort with evolution. You must periodically update your site, review your SEO, and check keyword rankings. You must especially remain aware of your reputation.

ReputationResults specializes in online reputation management. If your business suffers from negative reviews, contact us today about our services.

Word of mouth is the most powerful form of marketing. And in recent years Yelp reviews have become the way people most often rate their dining and shopping experiences online.

Business owners are becoming aware of the power of Yelp reviews. If you’ve been wondering how to get more Yelp reviews, you’ve come to the right place for answers.

This article offers some useful tips on how to improve Yelp reviews in order to attract more customers to your businesses. Let’s take a look at a few you can start using right now.

1. Check the Reviews Filter

One of the most significant things you can do to increase Yelp reviews for your business is to check to see if positive reviews are getting stuck in the filter.

Yelp has an algorithm designed to weed out suspicious reviews that don’t appear to be authentic. This algorithm filters reviews it believes are fake or spammy.

You can access these reviews at the bottom of the company page. Sometimes it’s a simple matter of following the Yelper who’s stuck in the filter to make their reviews become visible, or you can reach out through the messaging platform to ask the reviewer to update their profile.

Keep in mind that these positive reviews already exist, they’re simply hidden by the filter.

2. Engage Loyal Customers

Take advantage of your fanbase of loyal customers. These are people who already enjoy your products or services and would likely be more than happy to spread the word.

If you maintain a customer email list, consider sending out a newsletter requesting positive feedback on Yelp and other review sites. Be sure to always include a “Tell Your Friends” button on your website and social media platforms that points them directly to sites like Yelp where they are free to post a review.

3. Ask Family and Friends to Help

The next group of people you should be enlisting to boost your positive Yelp reviews is your family and friends. These are your biggest fans. This is especially important if your Yelp page is relatively new, because those first few positive reviews carry a lot of weight and have staying power.

Remember that the people close to you are usually excited and more than willing to help in any way they can, and posting positive reviews is quick and easy and doesn’t cost them anything but a minute of their time.

If you’re looking for ways to make your payroll process run smoother, check out this checkstub maker.

4. Reach Out to Vendors

Many small business owners don’t take into consideration that vendors are among the groups of people who most want to see you succeed. Never hesitate to request positive Yelp reviews in exchange for posting positive reviews for them.

Simple Tips for How to Get More Yelp Reviews

There’s no denying that Yelp has become a useful platform for small businesses. People love to review their favorite restaurants and shops.

Learning how to get more Yelp reviews is a simple process that could have a drastic impact on your business and can often help to boost the number of customers coming through your door.

Customer service is defined as the level of care and support you offer your customers. If you think prioritizing exceptional customer service is a waste of time, think again. Roughly 82 percent of US consumers stopped doing business with a company after a negative customer service experience.

If you’re ready to avoid that kind of damage to your company, then this article is for you. Try these five top tips to improve your business with exceptional customer service.

5 Tips for Exceptional Customer Service

Exceptional customer service creates dedicated customers. Dedicated customers will then recommend your business to their family and friends. If you’re ready for this positive referral funnel, out the following tasks into motion today.

1. Create Your Dream Team

Your employees are the face of your company. It’s important to create an atmosphere of respect and competence within your team. When the team is happy, your customers are happy.

A staff that feels anxious or hostile will not provide superior customer services. Conduct training to update your team on new services or products. Encourage staff to depend on each other to solve challenges.

2. Be Approachable

First impressions set the tone for your entire customer service experience. These first impressions can come from an email or visit to your front counter. Your customers want to feel like you care about their problems.

That’s why your staff needs to be friendly and approachable. This includes smiles, handshakes or name badges that show their names and titles.

You can find more about custom name badges here. These badges will help customers feel comfortable knowing who they’re talking to. They’re an easy way to promote friendly customer service.

3. Use Social Media to Engage Customers

Social media is an important tool to interact with customers. Social media channels provide platforms for future or current customers to ask questions or share concerns. You’ll earn their trust because they know you’re available to help them.

Happy customers will leave reviews when they’re pleased with your service. Positive feedback can bring more customers coming your way. Check out this article on ways you can ensure that you get excellent customer service reviews.

4. Listen

Listening is an effective way to build customer relationships. Listening means you hear what your customer said and understand them.

Strong listening skills will help you address the customer’s inquiries quickly. They’ll come to depend on you for your help. This too translates into repeat business for you.

5. Ask For and Respond to Feedback

Your clients will appreciate that you care about their opinions. There are plenty of tools you can use to measure customer satisfaction levels such as questionnaires and surveys.

When you do receive feedback, respond quickly to all comments received. Identify areas needing improvement and execute the necessary changes. Credit the improvement as a “customer’s idea” to show that you value their business.

Next Steps

3.9 million.

That’s how many Americans now work from home. It’s a dream come true for the worker, but for the business owner employing them, questions arise when it comes to an inclusive environment.

When owning a company with a lot of remote workers, it can be hard to ensure everyone’s on the same page. Not only that but you need to make it a collaborative workspace online so productivity stays up.

Worried your remote workers aren’t feeling involved?

We’ll go over effective ways on how to create an online workspace for everyone on your payroll.

Take a look!

Pick a Communication Software

In order to keep everyone in the loop, you’ll need software (or even an app) that allows everyone to communicate.

Take the Slack app, for example. Users can download it either to their phone or desktop.

It helps reduce the number of emails, especially when it comes to project development. Everyone can communicate with one another with what needs to be done. Because they get that information quicker, they’re able to move forward right away.

Brush Up on Training

If workers have been with your company for a while, chances are they’ve forgotten a few things they learned in training. So productivity keeps at a good pace, send out refresher courses. These should be available online, so everyone can read or watch them.

For the collaborative aspect, have two complimentary departments work together. This could be the sales and customer service teams, so they can work on pitches and understand what questions customers are asking most.

Incentives and Positive Reinforcement

If an employee doesn’t feel appreciated, you can forget them working hard. When most of your workers are remote, think outside of the box when it comes to positive reinforcement.

Set up a chat or Skype call to let them know where their progress is and what they can improve on. Be sure to compliment them on things they’ve done right. Simply saying “thanks for all you do” is enough to boost someone’s confidence.

As for incentives, you can set up monthly bonuses. If workers meet their numbers then they get a certain money amount added to their paychecks.

And speaking of paychecks, it’s best to send out paystubs to remote employees as well. This gives them tangible proof that they’re more than just a number—they’ll feel more like an employee. You can learn more about paystubs if you’re unsure about generating ones for your team.

Create Your Collaborative Workspace Online Today

Whether your employees are in different offices in different cities or are completely remote, it can be difficult to get everyone together. That’s where creating a collaborative workspace online comes into play.

Using the tips above, you can ensure everyone communicates and feels appreciated in order to improve productivity. This way, everyone feels included.

How’s your online presence? Learn how to protect your online reputation when it comes to sharing on social media!

The Eastern Women’s Entrepreneurship Center counsels hundreds of business owners. Brand management is a challenge for many of those clients.

According to director Caitlin Davis, business owners often lack a clear sense of who they are. Thus, they also lack a sense of what they have to offer.

The purpose of branding is to convey your message to customers. Secondary goals are to build customer loyalty. Persuade them to buy your product or service. Doing this means making an emotional connection with your customers.

Brand management then is a combination of concepts, strategy, and marking your brand. Read on for some essential keys to managing your brand.

Define Your Brand

Before all else, define your brand. Focus on your mission and vision for your company, product, or service. Think about character and value.

What is it you do best? What are your company’s strengths? Focus on those. Determine what qualities you wish to communicate to your customers.

Be sure these qualities are authentic and true to your company. Your brand will become your business model.

Consistency Above All

More than anything else, consistency makes a company stand apart from its competitors. Think about the quality your company delivers and focus on that.

A regional grocery store chain called Publix, for instance, delivers consistent customer service. Thus, their long-running slogan is Publix: Where Shopping Is a Pleasure.

Start from the Inside

Ask your employees what they think about your brand. How do they feel about it? Develop your brand’s story from their answers. Take their story and bring it to your customers.

A brand is more than a logo on a website. A brand is an idea that evolves into your products or services. Why not ask those who helped you build your products for their ideas?

Stay Relevant

Brand management demands that you remain flexible with your brand. You want to project consistency, but you also want to adapt to marketing trends as well as customer needs.

Branding is both a strategy and a process. Be open to tweaking your message. Make it stronger and reach more people through your brand promotion.

Measure Effectiveness Through ROI

Return on investment (ROI) indicates that your brand management strategies are on track. How are your customers responding to your product and price adjustments? To marketing campaigns? To online brand promotions?

Any brand readjustments should lead to higher profits and reduced expenses/overhead.

Cultivate Your Brand’s Community

Your brand’s community is a powerful platform in and of itself. Your buyers remain engaged. They develop loyalty towards your brand. Member can also feel connected to one another.

Focusing on a brand community enables you to collaborate with your customers. This can be beneficial when developing new products and determining a pricing strategy.

Reap the Benefits of Effective Brand Management

Developing an effective brand management strategy brings focus to your product or service. From there, you can focus on what you do best, creating something your customers want and care about.

Often, company owners opt to hire brand strategists to help with brand management. That way, they can concentrate on running their business. The brand strategists can handle branding.

Why would you want to use pay per click services? They work to bring you more business.

Not everyone sees results in pay per click advertising, however. There are plenty of stories of site owners who spend money on PPC services and don’t see results.

There are some common mistakes that advertisers make when they use pay per click advertising. Read on to find out what they are and how you can avoid them.

Where to Buy PPC Ads?

It used to be that Google was the only PPC game in town. It’s still a dominant player, but the PPC landscape is starting to shift. Advertisers aren’t aware of this shift and they can be investing pay per click dollars in the wrong place.

Facebook, Amazon, and Bing all offer pay per click services. Where you should advertise depends on your business goals.

More ecommerce and retail sellers are recognizing that people are turning to Amazon more than Google to research products before they buy. With this change in consumer behavior comes a change in how budgets are allocated.

Your first step is to decide where you need to spend your budget. An FBA seller or retailer selling on Amazon should advertise on Amazon. An ecommerce site could advertise on Google or Bing to drive traffic to the site.

Social media advertising like Facebook has a pay per click service that you can use to create brand awareness. This is a smart use of resources if you just repositioned your brand and you want to introduce your brand to a new audience. It also gives you an opportunity to tell more of a story that people can relate to.

Keyword Research & Targeting

The one consistent piece across pay per click services is that you have to know your target audience. You have to understand how they search for your products and services so you can appropriately target them.

Are they limited to certain geographic areas? You’ll need to specify this in Google, Bing, and Facebook.

In Facebook, you don’t target your audience by keywords, but by interests. You have to know what products and services your audience follows. For example, if you’re a fitness brand, you can target people who follow fitness brands like Weight Watchers or TRX.

If you were to target these keywords in Google, be aware that there is a gray area targeting trademarked branded terms.

The keywords you use should strike a balance between search volume and competition. You want to have enough search volume in your keywords and have a little competition. That will improve your chances to get your ads seen.

You could bid on a keyword for one cent a click, but that won’t generate enough traffic to be worth your while.

There are some tools that you can use to do your keyword research. Google’s Keyword Research tool and Ubersuggest are good for researching keywords on Google. Bing has its own keyword research tool.

For Amazon research, there are a number of tools to use, such as JungleScout and Merchant Words.

Creating a Compelling Amazon Ad

Amazon’s main form of advertising is the sponsored product ad. These are pay per click ads. You bid on certain search terms that are related to your product.

Your bid should be high enough to get your product towards the top of search results. The key components will be your product headline, product images, and product page.

All of these should have your main keyword. Your images need to be within guidelines, but they can be more lifestyle images that showcase your product.

You can learn more about creating a winning sponsored ad campaign by reading this article. This will outline the process step-by-step.

Writing Ads for Google and Bing

You have very little space to make a big impression. Your ad copy has to be stellar in order to make an impact.

Do searches on Google for keywords similar to yours. Take a look at the top ads and notice if the text is good or not. Would you click through? Ask yourself why or why not.

Your ad copy starts with your headline. You want to speak directly to the person reading your ad.

You also want to tell people who your service is for. Mention specific groups like corporations, men or women.

Don’t forget the most important part – the call to action. You have to tell the reader what the next step is.

After you craft your ad, you will find that you can always improve. Test different elements of your ad, such as the headline or the call to action.

The Landing Page Matters

One of the biggest mistakes that advertisers make with PPC ads is that they send traffic to their website’s home page. They do this assuming that people will pick up the phone or schedule an appointment.

You want to create a simple landing page to capture your visitor’s email address. This can be done by offering a white paper or free ebook to download in exchange for the email address.

You can communicate with the user regularly via email to build credibility and trust, making them more likely to buy from you in the future.

The copy on your landing page has to validate the user’s click. In other words, the experience has to be seamless and make sense to the user. If your ad copy is about weight loss, and the user clicks through to text about using a kettlebell, that might not make sense to them and they’ll leave.

Pay Per Click Services Can Build Your Business

Using pay per click services can be an ideal way to increase sales and leads. The way to maximize your advertising budget is to advertising with the right service.

You also have to be great at copywriting and understand how your target market searches for your products and services. If you can do those things and maintain your budget, you can be successful no matter where you advertise.

As a B2B tech company, it’s easy to feel left out of the social media loop. B2C strategies dominate the social media marketing conversation. Worse, it can lead to adopting the wrong strategy for your company.

34% of B2B buyers stop engaging with companies that promote content that’s irrelevant to their needs. In this article, you’ll learn how to craft a compelling B2B social media strategy that truly speaks to your buyers.

Listen More

You don’t have to be a mind reader to know what your buyers want. They’re telling you loud and clear, but are you listening?

If you’re in the dark, it’s time to listen more — literally. Social listening is the process of tracking and analyzing the social media behavior of your current and potential followers.

Track the following:

Any @ mentions on social media

Your competition’s B2B social media strategy

Your followers’ likes, shares, and comments

Social media complaints directed at you (and your competition)

Any praise directed at you and your competition

Your competition’s customer responses

Your competition’s follower growth

Brands your customers follow

You’ll definitely want to use a social media management software of some kind, like Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, or Buffer. These platforms let you manage multiple accounts at once, so you can view all activity from one convenient dashboard.

Create a B2B Buyer Profile

Social listening is a type of market research. Through multiple research methods, like focus groups and surveys, you can dig even deeper into the wants, needs, and concerns of your buyers. This produces a more complete B2B buyer’s profile.

A B2B buyer’s profile, or persona, should include target industries, purchasing cycle behaviors, their buyer’s journey stage, company size, budget, concerns, and priorities. The more information you have about your target audience, the more relevant your content will be.

Like individual consumers, B2B customers go through a buyer’s journey of their own. But don’t confuse the two! Data shows that the B2B buyer’s journey is growing longer and more complicated, requiring a shift in B2B social media strategy.

Let’s explore which strategies resonate most with buyers.

Who’s Getting B2B Social Media Right?

After all the research, you now have a strong idea of who your target audience is and what they want from your company.

Next, learn from the heavyweights in your industry. Not only is competitor research critical but so is a track record of successful B2B social media.

A major B2B marketing success story is none other than IBM. IBM’s social media storytelling strategy communicates and converts across multiple marketing channels. This is a strong example of both cross and integrative marketing strategy for B2B tech companies.

IBM isn’t the only one killing it at social media. Fellow B2B tech companies like Cisco, Oracle, Intel, and Salesforce aren’t afraid to show their personalities on social media, either.

The Best Content For B2B Social Media Strategy

It’s a lot easier to craft content appropriate for your audience with a buyer’s profile by your side. To get a head start on your content plan, the following content works well with B2B buyers specifically:

Industry whitepapers

Infographics

Industry blogs and publications

Webinars

Product Descriptions

Case studies

Reviews

Linkedin Blogs

These are important to have in your B2B social media arsenal. They can easily be shared (and re-shared) across all major social networks.

Don’t underestimate the importance of compelling service descriptions either. When done correctly, these can have considerable marketing power on social media. Take a look at how this B2B IT provider presents their services to get an idea: https://www.charlotteitsolutions.com/it-strategy-services.

Remember, not all social media networks are made alike. And not all are the right fit for your company. Let’s explore where to best spend your marketing efforts!

Pick the Right Platforms

A surefire way to flush a marketing budget down the drain is to waste time on strategies that don’t convert. Thorough research should reveal which social media sites your target audience prefers. That’s where you need to focus on your social media marketing efforts.

For example, your audience is more likely to use LinkedIn to discover, engage, and share content from B2B companies. But Snapchat? Not so much.

However, if you want to recruit talent for your company, you may want to consider more “fun” networks like Snapchat or Instagram to promote your awesome company culture.

The only way to truly know is to test it out. Run a few campaigns on multiple platforms to see which social media networks convert the best.

Go Live!

B2B tech companies are known for innovation. Just look to the countless TED talks that have gone viral on social media. Don’t overlook this in your B2B social media strategy.

Start participating in conventions, panel talks, and live streams to generate excitement in your tech company. Even better, live content can be re-shared and reused across your marketing channels.

Besides being the #1 social media network, this is another reason to market your B2B company with Facebook. You can go live from industry events to give followers an exciting inside look at your company.

Consider building a YouTube channel as well or going live on Periscope from time to time.

Analyze Your Results

Lastly, remember to track your B2B social media strategies every step of the way. This is another reason to invest in social media management software. You can’t measure your results without good data!

Here’s what to look for at the end of your campaign:

Website clicks

Web visitor bounce rate

Sales generated

Social shares

Email subscription rate

These are just a few metrics to analyze. What you analyze will depend largely on the goals you set for your B2B campaign.

Do you want to grow brand awareness? Do you want to promote a new product to your audience? It’s important to hone in on your goals before launching any marketing campaign.

Ready, Set, Share!

It’s time to realize the potential of your B2B social media marketing. Start with these tips to discover the right path for your B2B tech company. But don’t stop after one strategy!

You’ve just scratched the surface of digital marketing. Promote your innovation to the world with the latest insider marketing tips.

If you want to develop a successful blog, then your content needs to keep up with the trends. Put out what your followers want to read.

Blogs need balance. While dipping into the pot of trending information, you need to still stay interesting and original to make a real statement in a sea of words.

Web surfers continue to search for health and wellness topics online. In fact, the data shows that 80% of internet users search a topic within this realm.

But simply throwing health information onto a page will not help you win in the blogosphere. Health and wellness trends constantly change, and you need to stay one step ahead of your fellow blogging community.

This takes research and intuition on your part. Let’s look at some of the current wellness trends, to see what makes today’s people tick.

Current Health and Wellness Trends

Knowing the current health trends and how they emerged will not only help you create key content now. It will also teach you what signs to look for when trying to figure out which topic will trend next.

Keep reading for our best tips on keeping up with hot topics to create a popular health blog.

Natural Supplements

With the legalization of marijuana on the rise, researchers continue to study cannabis and its constituents. CBD currently sits in the spotlight as the star of this trend.

This super oil works in the body to treat chronic pain, inflammation, acne, anxiety, depression, and possibly even cancer. Aside from the numerous benefits of CBD, people love that it comes from a plant and requires no processing.

The information age allows people insight that they never thought of before. They can now learn more about the potential dangers of pharmaceuticals, which makes them yearn to learn about safer, more natural alternative treatments.

Though CBD is still a hot topic, to stay one step ahead, you may want to choose something a little less buzzed about. A post about black seed oil, for instance, will draw readers your way.

Black seed oil also provides many health benefits. This substance can safely and naturally help with inflammation, hair loss, losing weight, and regulating blood pressure. Unlike CBD, you can legally obtain this oil in all 50 states, making it potentially more desirable.

Do your research and talk about natural remedies that people need to know about. Also, use reputation services to see which of your blog posts people search most to help you make future decisions.

Alternatives to Medicine

People want to know how to stay healthy without changing their body chemistry. Look East to find the hottest Western interests.

Yoga continues to dominate the interest of those who want complete mind and body healing. For something a little different, create posts on reiki healing, qigong, brain core neurofeedback, and acupuncture.

Watch the direction people take their health care regimen to see where they will take it next. Read about new hot spots opening up in big cities like LA and NYC, as those health conscious trends tend to trickle inward to the rest of the states.

Build Your Online Reputation

Creating a relevant and interesting blog can help you build your online reputation. Use these tips to stay on top of the health and wellness trends.

Also, know where you stand with your target market. Reputation management will help you stay on track by knowing where you stand and where you need to focus your efforts. Conduct a reputation audit and start using tools to help you win in the blogosphere.

If you’re one of the 86,004 real estate brokerage firms in the United States, you’ll want to use the best reputation management tools. These are essential for monitoring what people are saying about you and your brand.

So, let’s dive into our favorite tools, so you can hit the ground running!

1. Google Alerts

If your real estate company has already acknowledged the power of digital marketing, then you’ve probably already heard of Google Alerts.

It’s a fantastic tool for monitoring your brand’s online presence. All you have to do is insert the name of your company into the search bar, and you’ll start getting email alerts sent every time someone mentions your brand on Google’s database.

You can select one of the following three settings:

Immediately

Once a day

Once a week

The intensity of your alerts all depends on how seriously you’re taking your reputation management and how frequently you’re mentioned on the web!

2. Trackur

Trackur offers users several features for tracking their business online. They help you monitor all the below:

Social media profiles

Mainstream news sites

Growing trends

Relevant keywords

How awesome is that?!

3. Reputology

If you have more than one real estate firm, this platform is ideal for you. You can manage and monitor all your online reviews from across the web with just a click of a button.

You can also keep an eye on what people are saying about you on real estate review sites- which makes this perfect for your industry!

Also, Reputology helps you deal with negative reviews by converting them into customer service tickets- enabling you to tackle each concern, in a logical order, and with the utmost professionalism.

4. Chatmeter

If you want to collect and analyze customer feedback, then Chatmeter is probably the best resource for you. This is especially true if you’re running numerous branches in different locations.

Chatmeter sends you an email notification if your brand appears on any of the 20 local searches Chatmeter monitors, or if any new content about your business surfaces online.

You can also use this tool to keep up to date with your local competitors- analyze their marketing strategies and learn what they’re doing; this is amazing for boosting your brand and generating more sales.

For example, if you’re in the real estate business, you may want to keep an eye on how to get an offer at needtosellmyhouse.com (this is just one example of the many other real estate brands you should keep track of).

5. Search Yelp

Head over to Yelp and search for your business’s name, then brace yourself. Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do if a harmful rant and a one-star rating pop up on your Yelp page.

If you start receiving negative posts, you need to follow Yelp’s instructions on how to handle this awkward situation.

Remember: stay dignified, diplomatic, and professional at all times. No matter what a consumer’s said, you need to take the high road. By coming across as aggressive or rude, you’ll only alienate yourself from other potential customers.

If you’re able to give this disgruntled customer a refund to smooth things over- do it! Then once you’ve made amends, calmly ask them to edit their lousy review.

6. Meltwater

Interestingly, this company first started as a press clipping service. They initially scanned news sources to find keywords, but now they’re a fully fledged media monitoring tool.

In addition to press monitoring, they also track social media and offer real-time analytics. Out of all the options (perhaps not Google Alerts), they provide the broadest global media database.

That way you can be safe in the knowledge that you’ll be made aware of any mentions you get online.

You can also track your competitors using Meltwater, by:

Where they’re getting featured

How many mentions they’re getting- in comparison to you

Analyze both your reports and analytics directly via your Meltwater dashboard. Alternatively, you can transform this information into an easy-to-use presentation to share with your team members.

Other Tips

In addition to using the tools above, heed the tips below to help improve your reputation online.

Become an Expert In Your Field

You want clients to see you as an expert in your field. This is crucial for establishing credibility and works wonders for bettering your reputation.

You can achieve ‘expert’ status by doing any of the following:

Getting your brand published in reputable industry publications and magazines.

Setting up an informative blog on your company’s website

Helping others by offering useful answers to questions published on forums

Setting up and maintaining professional looking social media profiles

You get the idea!

Become a Diplomat

When it comes to handling your online reputation you need to become a diplomat. So, think very carefully before responding to an online review. Always err on the side of caution! Sadly, the customer is still right- even when they’re hands down, wrong.

Are you having a hard time reaching the people who need you most? If so, you may need a new marketing strategy.

The U.S. houses more than 14,000 facilities that help with drug treatment, so you’ve got to find a way to stand out. In order to do that, you’ve got to know a little about rehab marketing.

No matter the type of rehab you offer, the people who need your help won’t know about it unless they hear about you. So here are eight ways you can get the word out about the services you offer.

1. Use Social Media

Addiction is real and people need to know about it. So don’t be shy about bringing what you do into the public eye.

One great way to engage with the public is by setting up a social media account for your business. From here, you can post helpful information, interact with current and potential patients, and get the word out about your services.

Whichever social media platform you decide to use, make sure you use it often. Make your contact info and operating hours easily available and show people how approachable you are.

2. Learn from the Competition

If you have competition that is highly successful, take some time to study them. We don’t mean replicate or steal everything they do, but you can find out a lot about how they find success by looking at how they market.

What are they doing that you aren’t? How do they grab attention? How do they interact with people?

Pay attention to these things and implement them in your own way.

3. Post Helpful Content

Writing blog posts is one of the best ways to get the word out about your services. Why’s that? Because people take to the internet when they have questions.

There are people who wonder what rehab is like, if it’s scary or not, and if they need it. You can answer these questions in blog posts that are placed on your site. Reading a blog post is a lot less intimidating than talking to someone, so give people the chance to take that route.

Don’t post content just for content’s sake. Make sure it’s useful to your target audience.

4. Drive Traffic with SEO

As you add content to your site, make sure you implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tactics. There are certain things that search engines look for when they rank search results. In order to show up on the first page, you’ve got to know what those things are.

This is where SEO comes in. Using SEO on your site means you’re specifically adding keywords and other triggers that tell the search engine that your page is what people are looking for.

If you don’t know how to research and implement SEO on your own, it’s worth the cost of reach out to a professional.

5. Earn Backlinks

Whether you offer medication-assisted treatment or some other option, it helps get the word out if other people link to your site. When this happens it’s called a backlink.

In order to get backlinks, you’re going to have to earn them. That means providing great services and posting great content.

Encourage relationships with others in the industry by linking to their content. They may just return the favor.

6. Design a Great Website

In order to use SEO strategies and create relationships with other sites, you’ve got to have a great website. This can’t just be a bare-bones site that provides basic information.

All basic information like your business hours and location should be there, absolutely. But you need much more than that.

Photographs of friendly faces, maps on how to get to your office, explanations of the methods you use, and other helpful information make your website much more powerful.

In order to gain patients you’ve got to show that you’re approachable, friendly, and understanding. Show it through your website, because that’s the first place many people will hear about you.

7. Optimize for Mobile

Mobile optimization is required in this day and age. Google ranks sites worse if they aren’t mobile friendly, so don’t be dinged just for that.

Your site needs to work flawlessly on mobile devices as well as desktops. Don’t dumb down your design and content to make it work on mobile. Optimize it instead.

8. Get Involved Locally

If you really want to help people, reach out to the locals. They’re the people closest to your work location, so they’re the ones who’re more likely to come for a visit.

Whenever local events are held, try to participate somehow. That may be setting up a booth and offering treats while you give out free information. Or you may sponsor a local event-that’ll really get your name out there.

Parades, holidays, local festivities, and more are great opportunities for letting the locals know you’re there. If they know you’re there, they’ll think of you when the need arrives.

Rehab Marketing Shouldn’t Be Hard

Rehab marketing may feel difficult, but it doesn’t have to be. While rehab isn’t a need everyone faces, there are many who do need it. So get the word out about what you do so you can do some good.

Implement these ideas into your marketing strategy. As long as you put the effort in, you’re sure to see a difference in the number of patients you have coming in. And the more patients you have, the more good you can do.

Have you ever checked on your online reputation? Read up on why you should.
